A must do activity on the island is to attend one of the world-renowned Lahaina luaus. A luau is a traditional Hawaiian party or feast which is accompanied by entertainment. Often luaus include traditional Hawaiian foods such as poi, kalua pig, poke, lomi salmon, haupia and more. Wearing leis and possibly enjoying a maitai is all part of the experience.
There are many different luaus on the island to choose from, each offering its own different type of experience. For a small intimate with premium service luau try the Feast at Lele.
If you prefer more of a Hawaiian culture and history feel, then that would be with the Old Lahaina Luau. For larger groups and child friendly luaus, another popular choice is the luau on Kaanapali Beach.
