Water temperatures vary throughout the year, ranging from 74-85 degrees seasonally, and provide ideal conditions for snorkeling. Early morning snorkeling is optimal for great visibility and calm water.

Honolua Bay

One of Maui’s best snorkel spots, Honolua Bay is a marine preserve filled with various fishes for all to see. Honolua is located only about ten to fifteen minutes from Hale Napili.

Molokini Crater

Just off the south coast of Maui, Molokini is known as a fish sanctuary and is a great snorkeling locale. Take a tour boat to the famous Molokini Crater to see volcanic formations and marine life.

La Perouse Bay

Located on the south side of Maui, visitors must hike over lava rocks to reach this bay, perfect for those who like a bit more of an adventure. La Perouse Bay is filled with coral reefs and fishes, and if you’re lucky you may even have an opportunity to swim with dolphins while you’re snorkeling.
