Breweries

While there are many breweries on Hawaii, there is one on Maui that has a brewpub just down the street from us.

Maui Brewing Company offers “handcrafted ales and lagers brewed with aloha” and that includes their flagship beers: Bikini Blonde Lager, Big Swell IPA, CoCoNut PorTeR, and Mana Wheat.

The main brewery is in Kihei, about an hour’s drive from Hale Napili, and is worth a visit if you’re traveling around the island or really enjoy trying craft brews. The tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Maui brewery tours are also daily but offered at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30 p.m. The price of the tour is $5 and includes a taste of their four flagship beers.

The Maui Brewing Co. Brewpub is only a five minute drive and during happy hour, 3 – 6 p.m., the house beers are only $5. They also serve a variety of food items from shared plates to entrees. The brewpub is located in the Kahana Gateway Center at 4405 Honoapiilani Highway #217, Lahaina.

If you’re looking for a new place to try Koholā Brewery opened in December 2015 and is quickly becoming a local favorite on the island. Offering a variety of beers that hit the spot for all types of beer connoisseurs, this is the perfect place to grab a drink after a day visiting sites on the island. Open every day Sunday-Thursday Hours: 12pm-8pm and Friday & Saturday open 12pm-9pm.
