Explore Maui’s Hiking and Nature Trails

See cascading waterfalls on one of the many Maui nature trails

Explore the natural beauty of Maui by hiking nature trails, including the many Lahaina hiking trails and routes across coastal, redwood forest, lava, crater, jungle, and waterfalls.

Soak in the majestic landscape of the West Maui Mountains with panoramic views of the ocean and neighboring islands, or hike atop the scenic summit of Haleakala Crater with an elevation of more than ten thousand feet!

Whether you prefer a quick morning stroll or an all-day strenuous hike, there are many fantastic Maui hiking and nature trails to choose from.

Hale Napili guest favorites:

  • Black Rock – 2606 Kaanapali Pkwy, Lahaina, HI
  • Kapalua Coastal Trail – 99 Coconut Grove Ln, Lahaina, HI
  • Lahaina Pali Trail – Hwy 30 at Manawaipueo Gulch, Lahaina, HI
  • Another visitor favorite is the waterfall hike in East Maui, with waterfalls ranging from 12-40 feet high. You can even swim and jump into some of the large pools under the waterfalls!

Guided Hikes

If you want the full experience, Hike Maui offers several guided hikes and combination packages, lasting anywhere from 3 to 7.5 hours. The packages consist of a kayak ride along West Maui’s coastline, snorkeling off the kayak with turtles, and last but not least, a one-mile hike to two waterfalls and natural pools to swim in.

Guided hikes on the island are conducted by trained and knowledgeable experts of Hawaiian history and culture. Get your exercise and learn something while you’re at it!

If you choose to go it alone, always be mindful and carry water. Never hike alone, wear proper clothing, and avoid undue risks.

We hope you’ll enjoy breathtaking Maui hiking during your stay in our Napili accommodations. Haven’t secured your condo? Book now!
